THE FIND..

The decision to start a Blog was decided on the fact that one day, if I search hard enough, I will find THE track. A track that will fill me with an overpowering excitement and happiness. To me, all those long hours of listening to podcasts and mixes pay off when a track that lifts you from start to end is found. Every second and minute of this song excites me. I can happily say that this is my favourite tune of 2010..for the time being, I am sure a few more will crop up somewhere. It will definately be in my Top 10 by the end of the year. I know...a rash decision, but one I am happy to make. This sound inspires me to DJ and write music...maybe oneday?

I am in the process of putting together some Nu Disco/Disco tracks for a mix. So by the end of the year a Joeyplays Mix will be available. The vocals in this track are bone shivering and the repetative climb throughout the song only feeds the excitement...5.51 is the melting point!

Summers Coming..

MARTHA'S POND.

Walking out the door this morning, around 8.30am(early riser)...I could feel warm air...and thoughts of summer filled my head. I quickly grabbed my Ipod and listened to my Summer Playlist. As I looked up to see when my bus will arrive, the sun caught my eyes and I squinted. The heat of the sun warmed my face and I pulled a big grin. HAPPYCHAPPY.

This is my 'Summer Teaser Track.' I love Ladyhawkes voice...and butt may I add. But this track is a remix by 'The Swiss' and don't they do it well people!

Bedroom Beat...

Well...apologies to all who saw me on Fri, I was a bit worse for wear.

I looked like 'Sloth' from The Goonies. Jeeeeesus thats not good.

Its my day off today so Im recovering nicely...5 soldiers and a runny egg! YUM.

Im a sucker for electronic music. Some of it can be very soothing, fun, uplifting, which atracts me mostly to it. So when I find a track after a long hunt, it adds to the satisfaction when I play it very loud...so loud that my next door neighbour comes round...

'Mate, Ive got 3 kids upstairs, they are now all awake, you couldn't turn it down?'

My brother replies...'ofcourse, Im so sorry!'

High Times..

Last night was alot to take. Leaving my friends house this morning was hard.

Even after having a shower I still felt groggy, and the lady who passed me on the way to work

certainly made me feel like dogshit.

As I write this entry, I want it to find my friends in Meribel, Val D'isere, Ana and Ale in Mexico, Fulham folk, Bella and co in Newcastle, George and the team in the US and Ding in Mississippi. I love everything about this track. It makes me think of friends and family. Wherever you all are..in the mountains, trekking across the desert, sitting on your sofa, driving, walking home, sailing across the Atlantic, travelling...even if you aren't having the best day...play this...you will be alot happier by the end.
